About Flexphotos

"I provide the look that you need for an industry that is always growing and evolving". If you're looking for an edgier look, feel free to contact me...I have worked with some outstanding people and what is most important to me is having them feel elated about the final outcome. I love what I do, but even more so, I love creating images that break new ground. *NOTE: To all models, both experienced and those new to the industry...when working with me you will receive quality images versus quantity. What sense does it make to have 1200 pictures if you only like 10 of them? When booking a shoot with me, please come prepared and do not arrive late. By no means am I a free photographer or a GWC (Guy with a Camera), I shoot with selective models on my own time but that's not often. So when I do, NEVER CANCEL ON ME, LET ME STRESS THAT!!! The next time that you will be shooting with me is when you can afford my full rate. If you're on my time NEVER SHOW UP LATE because I will send you home. I HATE HAVING MY TIME WASTED and I will not waste your time, ever! I love what I do and this is a job that I'm proud of doing. I am easy to get along with and I'm here to get some extraordinary images with you. Please don't contact me for Fashion or Casual type shoots (unless it will be on the SEXIER SIDE!!!) I'm strictly after Fitness/Bikini/Implied/Sheer/Lingerie (Maxim-style) shoots...For possible Tear Sheets in magazines only...I have access to great locations and props and I'm anxious to collaborate with models (18 or older, experienced or not) who can add their own unique style, personality and ideas to my existing body of work. I enjoy working with models who don't take themselves too seriously and are willing to laugh, have fun and try new things. As this is a job, I do charge a FEE but I'm very reasonable and willing to work with anyone, so feel free to ask. My rates are available upon request. I normally require down-payments through PayPal to reserve a spot; if you cancel, it is non-refundable. I'll email you a PayPal request for funds after we set a photoshoot date. I cannot pay, I do not pay, I will not pay to shoot...sorry! I work strictly with Time for possible Tear Sheets but will make an exception for a Model, with the look, that I'm sure would GUARANTEE A TEAR SHEET! I'm also here to photograph male and female models for fitness magazines and to help promote them as well. I do send in photos regularly to American Curves, Planet Muscle, Exercise for Men, Men's Exercise and Natural Bodybuilding and Fitness, just to name a few. I also photograph Bodybuilding and Figure Events (backstage and on-stage) for Muscle Mania/Fintess America, NPC, INBF, IFBB, NGA, OCB, ETC. Are you a professional photgrapher? The answer to this question depends a great deal on how you measure "professionalism". One response I often give is that I do not pursue photography professionally or as a main souce of income. Every professional fitness competitor I've worked with, will tell you, fitness competitions don't exactly pay the bills. I look at my photographic work in a similar light. It's a personal choice...a labor of love...it's my creative outlet. I enjoy the journey as much as the destination. It makes me feel proud when I see what I've created. It is a lot of work thus I do normally charge but it is not my "day job". If you're a fitness competitor yourself, I'm sure you know what I mean. Another response I give relates to the level of professionalism with which I conduct every photo shoot. It is of utmost importance to me that everyone I work with would recommend me highly, to others, without reservation. Photo shoots are very personal in nature and far from easy. Having a large lens stare down at you, posing in awkward positions, and donning the skimpiest of outfits does not ordinarily instill comfort in most people. Feeling comfortable and secure at any photo shoot will invariably yield better photographs and a better overall experience. By the way, career-wise I am not a professional photographer. I consider myself a talented Cabinet Cad Drawer and Estimator of more than 11 years. Having tried my luck as a professional bull rider for more than 10 years, I had a car accident in I999 and broke my lower back. I then had an L-5, S-1 fusion on it. I still wanted to stay around rodeos, so I purchased the top of line Nikon equipment and started taking photographs and went to classes to learn more. I had an offer to photograph a couple of bodybuilding and Fitness contests so I started Shooting IFBB, NPC, NGA and Muscle Mania events. Historically speaking, I began Photography in 1999 shooting those professional rodeos and bull riding events. Then, I broadened my ability and started shooting portraits. Combining the two, portraits and athletics, seemed to be the most natural progression of my pursuits and led to me being involved with fitness photography. As I gained experience, I moved more into other genres and working more with models. I'm eager try almost anything new, so if you plan to shoot with me, be sure and bring along a good imagination. I strive to make my shoots personal for both myself and the model. In every shoot that I do, my two primary goals are to create a very positive photo experience and to capture really stunning photos that area notch or two above the ordinary. Each shoot is a cooperative effort; a blend of ideas from my own past experiences with those of the model. It always takes two to make a great shot. Contact me if there is anything else you want to know or interested in a shoot. Sincerely, |
